Thank you for sharing the message from your Pastor and for the godly encouragement. Yes, trying times are an opportunity for us to realize how dependent we are on Him and to lean on Him and discover His strength. A Kathy Troccolli song rings true for me as I reflect how I went through a very rough patch ….
“How would I know you could deliver
How would I know you could set free
If there had never been a battle
How would I know the victory
How would I know that you’d be faithful
To meet all of my needs
Lord, I thank you for the hard times
Otherwise how would I know”

Thanks for sharing Terry. You are right…whatever we experience in life has been filtered through the hands of a loving and sovereign God and He will work it all out for eternal good. He sits outside of time and has already taken care of our tomorrows. That we may rest in Him!

I am looking for a bible verse about trials and the web search engine brought me here… by the way, it’s psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” I encountered a lot of people who were seeking help or advice from me, though some of them didn’t actually asked for advice directly but I ended up giving them some advice. Most of the advices i give are inspirational or motivational messages of course based from my personal experiences and from what i have learned, read, and heard from church, books, and more experienced people.
Yesterday, the message by our Pastor was about rejoicing despite of sufferings and he focused more about this verse, [Romans 5:3-4 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.] We should always remember that despite of sufferings, troubles, or trials in our life, we shouldn’t stop rejoicing and praising our Lord with cheerful heart because these sufferings produce perserverance, character, and hope. Some of my friends and families now including myself are experiencing difficulty with their lives and normally we tend to lose energy, hope, and faith in God, but i think this is the most appropriate time to strenghten our relationship with God through prayers and worships because i believe God normally moves in our lives in times like this and shows us the answer boldly and gives us realization to our problems.

This hits home. But, I don’t really speak of trials. A much easier let down would be, experiences. Some people call them lessons, etc. Whatever God throws are way; “Be Prepared.” Events are wild & crazy at times! Events bring out your courage, fears, compassion, & most of all forgiveness. And, you know deep down whether these emotions of forgiveness are from God. Forgiveness feels True~

The following verse has been heavily on my mind since early monday morning. It came through loud and clear, I thought it was for someone else, then I realised it may well be for me, now I realize that God’s Word IS and was meant for everyone. Here it is. Prov. 3 vs 5&6

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
