Do you have a loved one who is facing death? Are you looking for inspirational bible verses to comfort and strengthen you or your loved one during this time?  I have been there.  The God of all Comfort and His living, powerful and active Word gently, lovingly and sweetly soothed my deepest pains.  In my moments of weakness, remembering His truths provided the reassurance, the comfort and the strength that I needed. These are true for all that are reconciled to Him through Christ Jesus. May some of these truths also minister to you.

Remember God is good. God is righteous and just and His ways are perfect (Deutoronomy 32:4). We may not understand why but we remember that His ways are not our ways and His ways are higher (Isaiah 55:9). His plans for us are ultimately for good (Jeremiah 29:11) and He works out all things out for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

Remember God’s amazing love for us. God loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). He loves us so much that while we were still sinners, and knowing every sin we would commit, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). As great as the expanse is of the universe, so is His love for those who fear Him (Psalm 36:5) (Psalm 103:11). Absolutely nothing, including death can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).

Remember God is sovereign. He is good, He loves us and Has good plans for us. His plans will not be thwarted (Psalm 115:3) (Daniel 4:35). He declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

Remember that we can be assured of our salvation. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13 & Acts 2:21).Salvation is a gift of God that we appropriate through faith in Christ Jesus, not something that we earn(Ephesians 2:8). No one can snatch us out of His hand (John 10:28). He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Remember that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are also interceding for us. We are not alone.The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses and Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).Jesus, our High priest, ever lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25).

Remember God is our ever-present help and our source of strength and peace. He will keep us in perfect peace if our minds are stayed on God and the things of God (Isaiah 26:3). He is with us and will strengthen and help us so we need not fear (Isaiah 46:10). We can cast our burdens on Him confident that He will sustain us (Psalm 55:22). There is absolutely no place were we are out of His presence (Psalm 139:7-10).

Remember that God restores the soul. He is our Shepherd and restores our soul (Psalm 23:1). Even if our physical bodies are falling apart, He refreshes and renews the inner man (2 Corinthians 4:16). Although this earthly body will eventually be destroyed we will get one not made with human hands, eternal in the heavens (2 Corinthians 5:1). We look forward to an inheritance in heaven that is incorruptible, undefiled and that doesn’t fade away (1 Peter 1:4). When we are absent in the body, we will be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Inspirational Bible Verses

Life is sure to throw many curve balls at us. We will experience grief, suffering, illnesses, broken hearts, disappointments, uncertainty and many other forms of physical and emotional pain. Can one be joyful in all circumstances? The answer is a resounding YES!! Let us look at one of the many inspirational bible verses that remind us why this is so true.

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love . Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:6-9)

So why do we rejoice? Let us look at some of the truths about our trial.

No trial lasts forever and in the scale of eternity is a fleeting moment. The trial, the difficult season is “for a little while”. While we are in the trial, we may be tempted to groan and ask “How long Lord?” The Apostle Paul describes trouble as “light affliction, which is but for a moment” (2 Corinthians 4:17a).

Our God is good, is sovereign and is love, and He only allows the trials that are necessary for our eternal good. Difficulties are not indiscriminately allowed to hit us. We encounter these challenges “if need be”.

This does not mean that we will zip through the trial clicking our heels. We will experience pain and grief. We will still be “grieved by various trials”.The King James Version describes it as “heaviness”.

These trials prove out and strengthen our faith. Our faith brings us an eternal treasure whereas the trials and all earthly treasures and comforts will pass away. Our momentary light afflictions are “working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17b). Our treasure is Christ and as we go through the trials we keep our eyes on Him, knowing He will see us through, and we look forward to the day of glory when we will see Him face to face. Keeping our focus on Him, on the prize that is ahead, we rejoice with “joy inexpressible”!

This joy is only yours if you have a personal relationship with Christ. A life apart from Christ is meaningless and ends in destruction. You need a relationship with Christ. Discover the wonderful treasures that are to be had when you accept Him as Lord and Savior.
